RE: Network Everywhere Router write up: msg#00049network.wireless.seattle.general
OK, I have the device up and running. Linksys is providing support (I'm being generous using that word) for the router. The NWR04B firmware is dated 12/20/2002 and I was asking them whether their firmware for the BEFSR41W could be loaded. The "tech" really had no idea what I wanted to do. So... has anyone successfully replaced NWR* firmware with BEFSR* firmware? I wasn't able to TFTP to the box and had to use the web-based update feature in the config program which might make it hard to do an upgrade. For USD 29.99, it's pretty good. BTW, there might be one left at the RS store in Southcenter (Seattle). Your local store might be able to track one down; the Catalog # is 2503089. > -----Original Message----- > From: talk-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:talk-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Scott Bradford > Sent: Saturday, October 04, 2003 12:54 PM > To: talk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: RE: Network Everywhere Router write up > > > The security sticker on the bottom says "linksys" on it. > The control > program looks EXACTLY like every linksys router I have worked on, the > buttons, the tabs and the menus ( only diff is the colors ) _______________________________________________ Talk mailing list Talk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://seattlewireless.net/mailman/listinfo/talk |
