I was in Denver in April (and last weekend, but that's not important). While
trying to sign up, the browser went away forever. When I tried to do it
again, I got an error page from AT&T saying something like I was already in
a session and couldn't sign up. AT&T tech support couldn't resolve the
issue. We surmised the registration system was choking on the previous SSL
session and until it expired (hour or so) I was frozen out.

The reason I didn't try it again in Denver this weekend was that security
wanded me and inspected and swabbed about EVERYTHING in my backpack. The
delay was about twenty minutes. By the time I got to the gate (B58 - almost
the end of the B concourse), taking my computer out of my bag was the last
concern on my mind.
