FYI: here's the website for UIUC's wireless access information:

just for comparison, they estimate that "it costs roughly $2000 to install 
an access point with 6-12 needed on average" in order to wire(less) a 
building (from: 
http://www.cites.uiuc.edu/wireless/admin/wirelessflowchart.jpg )-- this is 
the only monetary mention i could find.
