Not to my ear - 'a' sounds just as wrong. Talk to Joe :)

'href' is pronounced 'age-ref' -- with a vowel first. Thus should 'a' be 'an'. It's how the word after 'a' is pronounced that decides the 'n' suffix, not how it's spelled. AFAIK at least.
