Subject: Re: Invisible (black on black) mouse pointer in PuTTY window - msg#00012List: network.rdesktop.userWhen I run PuTTY (a window ssh client) via an rdesktop session, the mouse pointer turns black inside my PuTTY window which has a black background, rendering it invisible. (Unless I move it over some text so I can see the shadow.) I'm not sure if this is an issue with the way rdesktop is controlling the mouse pointer, or an issue with how PuTTY is programming the Win32 mouse pointer. Thanks to Thomas Mueller for providing the answer to this. I figured I would post the fix here for posterity. The I-beam mouse pointer that PuTTY uses is not rendered the same in rdesktop as it is in the Windows Remote Desktop client. The workaround is to change the "Text Select" pointer on the Windows machine by going to Control Panel->Mouse->Pointers. I changed it to the beam_r.cur image, which is a beefier version of the I-beam bitmap which does render nicely in rdesktop.
