certificate expired

hi all,

i've investigated, and here's my (real)question about my "certificate 
expired error" problem:


I've always

default_days    = 10000                 # how long to certify for
default_crl_days= 10000                         # how long before next CRL
default_md      = md5                   # which md to use.
preserve        = no                    # keep passed DN ordering

in openssl.cnf
and i use:

openssl req -nodes -new -x509 -keyout my.key -out my.crt

too generate the main certificate.

but
openssl x509 -in my.crt -noout -text

shows

  Validity
            Not Before: Jun 29 13:45:57 2004 GMT
            Not After : Jul 29 13:45:57 2004 GMT

which means that it'll be expired in one month. someone has an idea?
