2.0-beta6: "Error: cannot open" with log-append: msg#00492network.openvpn.user
When I start openvpn as a service on WinXP I get the following in my log-file: Sun Jun 27 22:34:37 2004 Error: cannot open --log file: c:\program files\openvpn\log\ljustero.log: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. (errno=32) Sun Jun 27 22:34:37 2004 Exiting If I start openvpn by right-clicking the same config-file, it works as it should, and I get the logging in the file I've specified with log-append. If I remove the "log-append" parameter from my config openvpn works fine also as a service, but then the log is not appended, which is what I want. And, no, there is no other openvpn process running. Here's my config: remote xxxx dev tap dev-node tap-ljustero port 5000 secret d:/vpn/ljustero/key.mathias ifconfig 10.0.5.228 255.255.0.0 ifconfig-nowarn verb 3 mute 20 ping 10 ping-restart 30 resolv-retry infinite float mssfix 1400 log-append "c:\\program files\\openvpn\\log\\ljustero.log" comp-lzo -- _____________________________________________________________ Mathias Sundman (^) ASCII Ribbon Campaign NILINGS AB X NO HTML/RTF in e-mail Tel: +46-(0)8-666 32 28 / \ NO Word docs in e-mail ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email sponsored by Black Hat Briefings & Training.
