RE: 3750 and IPv6: msg#00174network.nsp.cisco
Even more annoying, SPFs don't support copper, which is invaluable for server connections, giving us the new need for either media converters, or to add SX PCI cards to servers that have 4 X 10/100/1000 interfaces build in. Thanks for the timeline. How comes that I'm not surprised...? (On a similar topic: has anyone seen SFP SX GBICs so far? All resellers over here respond with "we can't ship any, there have been major reliability problems with those that we shipped, and we're waiting for news from our vendors...") <rant>What a stupid and obviously marketing-driven idea, replacement of nicely established GBIC interfaces, and replacement with something new that's mostly just annyoing customers (but according to vendor-logic increasing Cisco sales) - there's enough room on the 3750s to put normal GBICs there</rant> gert -- USENET is *not* the non-clickable part of WWW! //www.muc.de/~gert/ Gert Doering - Munich, Germany gert@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx fax: +49-89-35655025 gert@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx _______________________________________________ cisco-nsp mailing list cisco-nsp@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/cisco-nsp archive at http://puck.nether.net/pipermail/cisco-nsp/ _______________________________________________ cisco-nsp mailing list cisco-nsp@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://puck.nether.net/mailman/listinfo/cisco-nsp archive at http://puck.nether.net/pipermail/cisco-nsp/ |
