Subject: Is net-snmp AgentX considered production ready?

Hi!
I am new to this list and thought that I should stumble by and say "Hello"...

1-1.5 years ago we were discussing the possibilies to recode our snmp managed applications using some open source based snmplib instead of the proprietary AIX specific binary lib we have used up til now.
I remember vaguely that when looking at net-snmp we found out that the support for AgentX was not considered production quality, why we decided to live with our awkward binary lib for a while...

Recently we have started implementation of a new system (this time running on Gnu/Linux), and are again looking for a nice implementation of the AgentX protocol/snmp(sub)agent.... reading the leading text on http://www.net-snmp.org/tutorial-5/toolkit/demon/index.html, we started to wonder if the web-site wasn't updated or if there still exists such bugs that would stop us from using net-snmp's AgentX facilities in our system.

Is there a simple way to find out which the known bugs (concerning AgentX) are?

Please enlighten me...
/Andreas
