SNMP listening ports

Hi all,

I' ve noticed that the snmpd is listening to standard port 161 and to some 
other udp ports also.

The number of additional ports is not the same at all the machines that have 
snmpd installed and it goes from 2 to 4.

It seems that these additional ports have been retrieved from the pool of the 
machine available ports.

Why are these misterious udp ports opened also ?

Is there any way to disable them and make snmpd just open udp port 161 ?
