Re: Creating v3 users

Thanks for the reply.

This is installed on a Debian system, kernel 2.4.22.  I installed using
apt-get so I don't know if the agent has cryto support enabled.  What
libraries are needed for crypto support?  Perhaps I need to install
some additional debian packages.

snmpd.conf is rw only for root but I'm running snmpd as root.  I've
tried different passphrases including some simple words, so I don't
think it's a problem with the phrase.
