network.net-snmp.user

Subject: Re: Connection from callback error

Thanks, once i new where to look (and since this is a test box on a
private network with iptables blocking all incoming) i just commented
out the deny : deny entry in the hosts.allow file.

I guess I am still missing something here though. If a trap fired,
shouldnt I get something (oid or whatnot)?

Instead what I get is

snmpd : Connection from callback: 1 on fd 4
snmpd : Received SNMP packet(s) from callback: 1 on fd 4

and in the snmpd.log file

Connection from callback:1 on fd4

What does this entry mean?

thanks,

Greg
