Subject: usernames in SNMPv3

Hi,

I am adding users in SNMP V3 using the following
command:
createUser username (MD5|SHA) authpassphrase [DES]"
and defining traps using:
trapsess -v3 -u username -l <level> -a ... -x ..

both are working fine (SNMP access and trap
generation), however when I use the same username
for both (access and traps) with different
passwords or authentication algorithms, the trapsess
parameters take precedence.

It seems like usernames need to be unique and if
the same username appears a second time, it
overwrites the first entry. While this seems to be
correct if say the username appears twice with two
creatUser commands, why cant the same username
appear once in access and once in the traps section
with different parameters? One seems to be an entry
for the agent, and the other, used only by the
manager, right?

Thanks in advance,
PB
