For a huge logfile? ftp, rcp, scp(for security) come to mind.
Don't get me wrong, SNMP is great for somethings, but it's best for
small ammounts of data. It's really best for organizing a large number
of small transactions with a galaxy of agents with something like
OpenView or Tivoli.
For certain transcations of a huge size that may only take place
'once in a while' there are other better suited tools.
Just how 'huge' is this log file?
