inn installation

Hello everybody.

First, sorry for my poor english.

I am currently trying to use inn as newsgroup server for students. I have 2
main problems. I got inn to work, but i think i'm going to run into trouble
with it.
This server is intended to replace a mailing-list function, on which we had
1500 accounts. Each of these accounts posts nearly 20 messages a day,
everyday (yes, they speak a lot ;-).
The groups must keep the message for 6 mounths (time for the lessons to be
finished).

And my BSD box does not have a lot of inodes, so if i make count :

1500 students * 20 msgs * 31 days per month * 6 month = 5 580 000 inodes !!!

I don't have such a high number of entries in my filesystem. I currently
have 8G for groups, and 1 000 000 inodes for this use.

I tried the storage method 'timecaf', which i thought was to store every
messages of a group in a single file, but it seems to create as much files
as tradspool, and much bigger (6M per message for 2 lines of text seems a
lot !!).

I probably missed something. Can you help me please ?
