ME: cannot make sense out of it

I am new in handling Inn. Worked with Cnews before. Suse 8.2 doesnt
support it any more. Inn runs fine. only problem is configuration for
my standalone PC. 

UUCP seems to be outdated. But, helas, I am getting my feed via
UUCP. And like it.

So I would like to know how to configure it. I am totally
irritated with that NNTP business of Inn. And started to read a lot.
But I couldn`t make sense out of it.

I am very much irritated with "/etc/newsfeeds" understanding of "!":

ME:!*/!local,!collabra-internal::

 " ! */  "  tells me  n o t  to accept all. It's the opposite to what
is explained in that section:

"# Empty default subscription list, reject all incoming articles with
"# a distribution of "local" or "collabra-internal," accept all
"# others.
"ME:!*/!local,!collabra-internal::

Tin complains, that it cannot find newsgroups on the server. So I
use "rtin". But still: News I send don`t get spooled nore batched.

Can any kind person give a blind a hint of where he has to go?
