Win2k and bind: msg#00648network.dns.bind.user
Greetings; Until I successfully tested a win98 client on my network, I had assumed that I did not have bind and dhcpd configured for DDNS correctly. I have had an issue with my win2k box (apparantly) when it is assigned a dchp address, only a PTR record is created, nothing for the hostname itself (A record). I thought I saw something (which I cannot find) about this very issue. Isn't this whole update mechanism between bind and dhcpd? Anyway, I'm a bit confused and would find some much needed guidance a big help. Thanks again; |
