Subject: Running BIND8 chroot on Solaris

I have followed this excellent script on setting up BIND8 chroot.

http://home.in.tum.de/~herrmanm/solaris/bind.html

All works well, except when it comes to the ndc command

ndc start works
ndc stop works

but whenever I issue an ndc reconfig

/usr/local/sbin/ndc -c $JAILDIR/etc/ndc reconfig

The name server crashes with this error.
[ID 295310 daemon.crit] can't open '/etc/named.conf'

/var/bind.root/r
drwxr-xr-x 2 root sys 512 May 27 14:51 dev
d--x-wx--T 3 root other 512 May 27 16:49 etc
drwxr-xr-x 2 root sys 512 May 27 14:51 sbin
drwxr-xr-x 5 root sys 512 May 27 14:51 usr

etc
total 18
-rwxrwxrwx 1 bind bind 494 May 27 16:49 named.conf

Has anyone got any ideas where I can start trouble shooting this problem.

Cheers
