RE: update denied ...: msg#00563network.dns.bind.user
Sounds like a Win2k box trying to update DNS. Find the client, and if it is a Win2k box there is a check box in the TCP/IP properties that needs to be unchecked. Or you could allow clients from the 192.168.0.XXX network to update your DNS server, but I never really liked that idea. Typically in a MS "secured" environment the DHCP server should be configured to do that for the client.=20 Food for thought, and it might not be all that tasty. Hello everybody, I have bind9 running on my Linux-Box and I regularly find lines like the following in my logfiles: May 24 19:24:36 gateway named[668]: client 192.168.0.3#1147: update 'itagernet.loc/IN' denied I don't have any clue what that can be. Can anybody help me? That would be very appreciated! Best regards Luca |
