Out of free leases.: msg#00383network.dhcp.isc.dhcp-server
*** From dhcp-server -- To unsubscribe, see the end of this message. *** So we have come across the dreaded out of free leases problem. Its only a /25 that is in use, not a large subnet. We use the dhcpd daemon that comes with BSD/OS 4.1 and while it does not spit out a version number I think its of the version 2 variety. What is happening is that abanded leases are not being re-used. According to the FAQ on this I should be able to stop dhcpd, run a script over the dhcpd.leases file to remove all the abandonded leases, replace the old lease file with the new one and restart dhcpd. Is this correct?
