MacOS X ignores DHCPOFFER

Hello,  I have a Slackware 8.1 machine running isc-dhcpd-V3.0pl1 and am having 
problems getting my ibook to accept a dhcp offer.  

The logs on the server are as follows:

The ibook is running MacOS X Jaguar 10.2.3 (latest updates as of Dec 26th 2002) 
and is connecting to the network via an Airport card.  Doing a tcpdump on the 
airport shows all sorts of other traffic but not the messages from the dhcp 
server.  I also have a WindowsXP laptop that gets it's IP with no problems:

Does anyone have any ideas why the ibook isn't accepting the DHCP offer?
