Re: Creating torrent files: msg#00018network.bit-torrent.rtorrent.devel
| From: "Eric G." <ipsecsa@xxxxxxxxx> | I'm using createtorrent-1.0.0 but it doesn't recurse directories, | which is a real pain. | | What is everyone using to create torrents using the cli? I use "btmakemetafile.py", which is part of BitTornado. I'm using FreeBSD, where you get it via installing the "py24-BitTornado" port/package. This will also give you "btshowmetainfo.py" for examining dot torrent files, and the sometimes (but infrequently) useful "btrename.py" and "btreannounce.py". On Ubunto, I think you can get it with "bittornado", and you can skip installing "bittornado-gui" (unless you plan to use the bittornado bittorrent client under X11, but if you were planning on that you probably wouldn't be using rtorrent). -- Charles Clark | cmc@xxxxxxxxxxxx |
