FreeNet and BitTorrent are solving very different problems. BitTorrent
is trying to solve the problems that arise when you want to distribute
large, popular files. FreeNet is trying to solve the problems that arise
when you want to distribute and/or retrieve controversial files.

Of course, these goals do not mean that these systems can not be used in
different ways, but they do highlight some of their design differences.
