I will look at the install scripts. The install replaced my Seti folder
(instead of updating it). This deleted some custom icons I had in the folder.
Thankfully the install updated the Boinc Folder. I would have lost many icons
if it had been replaced.

So far there are two known possible reasons for this:
a) The new client creates a gui_rpc_auth.cfg file with a password in it.
While the Boinc client is not running, you should delete the password (NOT the
file).
b) The new client uses port 31614 and the old one used 1043. So there may be
firewall issues.
(I have only a single PC to monitor so I cannot speak from personal experience
in setting up JBSWU to monitor remote PC's.
I am experiencing problems with the new BOINC_CMD.EXE. I am getting
"Authorization failure: -155" on every operation I've tried. REXXRPC, however,
seems to be working well.
