Thank you to all who came, The party went really well, Though I do wish more
of our local would have come instead of going to Chicago, but hey oh well. The low down... E-309: Started out the evening, nic'n hard like we like it here, drop'n the acid beats for two hours. Lowsh: Went on next at 12am, That boy can SPIN!!!! FUK"N hard too. He did a really good split set between him and Abstrak. They shared a four hour slot doing 1 hour trade offs. The faster he threw it down the more they fuk'n luved it. Abstrak: Doing his ussual minimal sets, start'n it out fast smooth'n easy gave the crowd a break for a short time, and then worked them back into a frenzy. This boy can drop the beats right on the head of a pin. All was way groove that evening with a really nice group of people. BIG HUGE LARGE P H A T Props to: Justin at crt.net : for all his help, the show wouldn't have gone over very well without his assistance. Trent: Just for bein' fuk'n kewl. Jammie: For always com'n through when the jams hit. And to every one who made it possible. Stay tooned for a halloween event, and much more Hard Core to come. :) @>-->---- Souix... Eclectic Prod. Next Message by Thread:free ele mental event - reviewwell this past sunday ele mental and collective intelligence teamed up to throw a free party sunday in gadale park in Columbus... why more people don't show up to these kinds of things is beyond me (perhaps that many 614 party goers were in chicagho saturday?)... anyway, things were running late and the music started around 6:30....powerhousestarted with a hard house set with some electro thrown in for good measure...early on, the radio was interfering with the sound coming out of the amp (this may be due to the fact that a home consumer amp was being used), but we couldn't seem to figure out what was causing the disturbance...this caused some of the earlier dj's to have problems hearing their rekkids through the headphones, i presume, and when there were minimal tracks on (which you should expect at ele mental events) the radio and static could be heard...it actually sounded pleasing in a strange way, but i digress :) i believe lunar (ed luna) was on next, doing this neat thing with a droning noize and messing with pitch control on it...very nice :) one nice thing i always find about ed is that he always likes to have some sort of odd introduction instead of jsut throwing on a record to start the set...by this i mean putting on something other than a song.....anyway, tony tagged with him for a couple of tracks and seemed to be having some troubles (i heard it was his first time out, so understandable), butgets an 'a' for effort :) next up was someone who's name escapes me, not to mention that i forgot what he played...sorry whomever that was....after him was tim (don't know his dj name cuz i didn't even know he spun) who played some minimal-ish acid and closed out with "spastik".....after him was some crappy dj from cleveland named Stuff who refuses to review himself :) ...next up was the first ever debut of muratta da scratcha (or something like that)...who played a very good set of mostly hardstep jungle...excellent rekkids, i don't know why he waited this long to step into the spotlight...good stuff...after him, sammie and someone who's name i don't know tag teamed some straight up house....why sammie doesn't play out more i don't understand, the same goes for the guy with him...good clean fun house :) i left as the last guy was going on, but he played my favoite track off Celtic Cross right wheni got in the car so i give two thumbs up anyway :)..... all in all a very good, very *free* time was had by all....this is what it is all about: getting together, no bullshit, no egos, no other motives other than playing some music and dancing....about 30-40 people showed up...what is wrong with this picture? think about it.... --jeff/stuff (that guy)
