What I usually do is have EAC+flac write the ARTIST tag, and then after
ripping the disc(s) use mp3tag to add the ARTISTSORT tags. Despite the
name, mp3tag works with flac files, and is very handy for sorting out
tag issues. It is free software, but Windows only: www.mp3tag.de
