I guess I figured installing the flac plugin > would have addressed this?? JRiver MC is a great program and I use it to rip my CD's to FLAC (in secure mode which is as good as EAC). Have you installed both the FLAC encoder and decoder? (they are two different things). If you have not installed the latter (I think it's also called the FLAC input plugin) then FLAC will not show in the File Types options. Make sure both are installed (and also that both are the correct version for your MC version) then restart JRMC. FLAC should then show up in the file types and you can tick it and re-import the files. I hope this helps.
