My solution to the various artists issue

Now I've finally ripped in the dregs of my music collection (i.e. the
wife's compilations and some sampler CDs), I have had to address the
various artist issue.

My solution is as follows:
1 - Make the Artist tag either Compilation or Sampler
2 - Make the Title tag the artist plus the title

That's how I like it - I'll never want to browse my entire collection
looking for a song I know is in some compilation somewhere...

The clever(ish) bit is how to do this for the cases where the title and
artist are set (i.e. most in CDDB).  Using MP3Tag, I converted (Tag to
Filename) the file name to Artist - Title.flac, then converted
(Filename to Tag) so this became the title.  Easy to batch.

This works for me, and it's far less tagging effort than I had to put
into classical music!
