Not quite sure what you mean so I take it this way: You have added
replayGain tags to your mp3 files. They now all play at the same volume
when using replayGain on the squeezebox but the overall volume is lower
than before using replayGain. Now you want to boost the overall volume
by using some preamp gain control.
Answer: It's not possible. The preamp volume setting in player settings
is used to attenuate (lower) the output signal. The only way is to apply
replayGain again with a higher reference level.
My apologies if I somehow misunderstood your question.
