Artist handling in slimserver: msg#00308music.equipment.slimdevices.ripping
Hi guys, still new to slimserver and SB3. I am just cleaning up my MP3 Files (adding proper Tags, Artwork, ...). I have an album wich consists of 12 MP3 Files all sitting in one Subdirectory. 6 of them are from one artist and 6 of them have different artist. After scanning the directory I got one album with 12 songs which is fine. But I got an additional "ghost" album with the 6 songs from other artists pointing to the same mp3 files. Which is in that case anoying. Slimserver stated that the ghost album is from "Various". I have added a BAND Tag with the same Content for all 12 files, but I still have the second "ghost" album. Can someone give some hints on how slimserver uses the artist/band tags within the mp3 files?
