Ripping/Organization Best Practices?: msg#00263music.equipment.slimdevices.ripping
I'd have thought it would be a faq/sticky in this forum, but is there a "best practices" document on the process of starting a digitized music library by ripping one's (large) CD collection? Although I've messed around with ripping a couple dozen CDs to populate an MP3 player, I want to do the whole collection in a methodical manner that won't require me to go back and do a lot of fixing due to bad planning. I should add that my intention is to move everything to FLAC format (via EAC?) and then later transcode playlist content as necessary (and in as automated a way as possible) for MP3 devices, etc. I should also add that a lot of my collection is classical music, so gapless playback is a concern. Any pointers? Thanks!! -- Balthazar_B ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Balthazar_B's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7366 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=30859 |
