Setting all MP3 tags via LAME?: msg#00215music.equipment.slimdevices.ripping
Is it possible to set all MP3 tags (e.g. things like DISC) via LAME rather than just the standard ones? I've looked through the command-line documentation and can't see a way to do it... If it's not possible through LAME, then I'm a little puzzled as to how applications like Tag & Rename are able to write those tags? Does Tag & Rename do something like "hack" tags into the MP3 file? My reason for asking is that I'm planning my process for converting all my CDs to FLAC and MP3 format. I'd like to enter all the relevant tags at the outset (in some kind of config file) and then feed that in to the respective FLAC and LAME tools, and in so doing, avoid the hassle of having to do post-conversion additions of tags in an app such as Tag & Rename. (I suspect what I am trying to do is not really possible!) -- Hercules ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hercules's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8679 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=30788 |
