Personally, I find my 505 not as pleasant as my 707.

Price wise, here's what I paid in the UK for most of my gear:

G-505 with EMG humbucker in place of first coil - lost the LFO
touchplates, it seems, but otherwise VGC, with poor condition case: £275
The seller said he'd have felt guilty taking much more, I was entirely
satisfied with the price - it's a good quality telecaster clone and was
priced similarly to the best Squiers (made in the same factory), but has
the hex-pickup.

110V GR300, mint, boxed, with 240V-110V stepdown, plus fair condition
GR700 (ends loose, minor dent), cable, and mint silver G-707 with mint
case - £450, less £125 for two Carlsbro pedals included with the deal
which I sold, and something vague for an MXR Phase 90 swapped in another
deal.

G77, red, apparently mint with mint case and cable - £400 - should have
that on Tuesday.

Korg Z3 I can't remember, but it wasn't much, either £50 or £90

Two new cables from Roland last year - £104.

Prices I've seen have been quite variable. If you want an idea of how
silly they can be, I've seen G-303s go on eBay for figures approaching
$2,000, and Unionday is a regular seller of early GR gear with
relatively high (I'd say 'retail') prices, but presumably much more
predictable than eBay. When I wanted a 707, asking prices tending to be
nearly double what I paid for my 707, 700 and 300 together, and one guy
in the UK asked for £250 for a 707 /without/ the electronics when I
wanted one to practise guitar-playing with.

It all depends on who you're selling to. Sometimes there will be a buyer
who absolutely must have the stuff, and will pay a fortune for it. But
like I said, I think those people either have the gear, or are tired of
it and are selling too.

FWIW - Analogue synths /don't/ get crazy money, really. A new Minimoog
is £1,500, used ones are slightly lower. Only genuine rarities get
serious money, even such classics as the NED Synclavier barely break
£2,000 unless they're fully specced - and this is a system that cost as
much as a house new, around £25,000 in the very early 80s.
