Hi Guys:

I think Cakewalk CAN record several channels to different tracks, you should be
able
to accomplish this with Cakewalk. I've done it. Readers can write me
privately if
you need advice on this.

A patchbay interface is a good idea, I think the midiman 2x2 will also patch 1
to 2.
This way, you can have your guitar unit (e.g. GI-10, AX100) use channel 1 and
your
synth module be channel 2. Then, when the computer is off or away, you can
click on
the patchbay feature to patch ch1 out to ch2 in.

I have to retract part of my Gibson as corporate demons statement, they've
posted a
win2k driver for my Opcode Studio64 interface/patchbay. It's nice to have it
back!
