Thanks very much for everyone's input!
That gives me a good idea of what to shoot for.

I've been reading up on the new Eidrol UM-550. Has anyone used these
before?
It's a little more expensive ($175 - $185 on Ebay) than the MIDIsport
or MIDIman, but with 5 ins and 5 outs I wonder if it's worth it for the
expandability.
