I found the nylon sounds, even with V.2, pretty disgusting, but I was once a classical guitarist, so I'm biased. I'm interested in knowing how good a job The sounds aren't any better w/ Ver.2 for the VG-88. I have a Godin ACS-SA (nylon string) and a GK equipped Parker NiteFly. I notice that no matter what I do I get some "string sound" bleed through into my sounds. This is not good. When running a nylon patch through my GK it sounds like total crap. However, when running those same patches through my Godin, the nylon string sound bleed actually helps with the "authenticity" of the sound and w/ some tweaking it does not sound too bad. It's definitely passable. As for acoustic sounds, well, nothing really changed in the upgrade. Some have commented that the original VG-8 sounds better for acoustic patches (if I am remembering the posts correctly). If you didn't know, there is a VG users group on Yahoo (actually there are 2 "vg-users" and the other one. THe "other one" gets a lot of traffic and has some very knowledgable people on the list. The VG- users list does not get much traffic. Alex F/Brain21 --to unsubscribe send a blank message to midiguitar-unsubscribe@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Your use of Yahoo!
