One other thing which Roland units are famous for:

Often if the 9v power jack is knocked while it is plugged in, the socket
partially breaks away from the circuitboard or breaks the copper tracks on
the circuitboard, and can then make intermittent contact. Some solder on
the tracks will cure it and a spot of epoxy between the socket and the
circuitboard will prevent it from happening again.

Another reason I hate wall-warts.
