This is NOT acceptable:

You design this system to be able to download a bunch of cameras. So
you connect one camera, the script detects this is the first camera
and specifies usb:

So you connect another camera, and the supporting script detects:
There are more cameras detected, so it specifies bus/device.

Next time you happen to connect the second camera just before gphoto2
starts and mayhem occurs.

You should always be able to fully specify the port/bus/device !
