Subject: Problems with building 2-2.1.99 on OS X

Hello everyone,

I am new to Gphoto2 and currently stuck trying to get it work on OS X.

I tried both to build 2-2.1.99 and from CVS, but allways get the following error:

Making all in disk
[...]
disk.c:36:20: error: mntent.h: No such file or directory

There seems to be a problem with the disk port on OS X. It relies on mntent.h, which is not present on Darwin at all. A little research showed that mntent.h is providing utilities for reading/writing fstab, mtab, etc. But Darwin does not use mtab or fstab. There's tool called autodiskmount which takes care of all this.

It seems that since the addition of the disk port, building on OS X is broken. I wonder if and how I can turn off the disk port, as all I really need is PTP support anyway.

Any help is very appreciated.

Juerg
