Thunderbird problem

Hi!
I recently received two emails, each with attachment that I sent myself 
using Outlook from work to home. At home I use thunderbird.
The first email works ok.
The second email has the attachment symbol in the list view,  but I 
cannot open the two attached files. In fact I do not see any attached 
files, just the attachment symbol in the list view.
Is this a bug in Outlook or Thunderbird?
The first email is longer than the second so this does not seem to be a 
email server space restriction problem.
