That site does not contain the current version of Venkman.
The version in the Mozilla trunk (version 2004111421) is 0.9.83
There is also a version that has been floating around for Firefox which
has version number 0.9.84. Which appears here:

So, the question still stands: Is there any place to download the latest
version?
I'm using the 0.9.83 version on 1.0. All I did was open the XPI
archive and, using a text editor, openned the install.rdf file and
changed the maxVersion value from 0.9+ to 1.0+

Did that for Firefox 1.0, and it failed miserably.
But... I'm running Linux, so I may have been seeing problems Windows
users don't see.

When I upgraded to the 0.9.84 version it seemed to work, but I have to
admit I haven't tried any proper debugging.
Nor have I, mostly I just exercise all the buttons to test my themes'
skin support.
