Thanks for your reply, Jim. I wasn't explicit and I should have been.
I can't get a data transfer either way after seeing this message. In
fact, BitPim hangs and I need to kill its process. I hope the experts
can help me out. I'm sort of frustrated at this entire procedure
thinking that if Verizon was playing decent, we'd have it vend a
product like BitPim.

I got my phones stolen twice which led to my losing my addressbook
twice. Really a PITA.
