James -- I'm using 0.7.34 on Tiger, with no problems. I'd suggest you delete all files in the ~/.bitpim-files directory, if you haven't already tried that.

You might try manually adding another phone book entry on the phone too, just to see if that re-writes some config file on the phone and allows things to work.

I followed Roger Binns' suggestion. I manually created a single contact on the LG VX6100 consisting of a name and a single phone number. I then removed the file ~/.bitpim-files/bitpim.db, ran BitPim, and created a single entry in the BitPim phonebook. It consists of a name and a single phone number. I then selected the "Send Phone Data..." menu item, clicked the check box for the phone book, and clicked the OK button. This resulted in the exception shown below. (I did this in version 0.7.32 as this is the latest one for which I'm able to grab the log and protocol log data without getting another exception. The results are the same as in 0.7.34.)

Any suggestions as to how to get around this will be greatly appreciated.
