no phone detected/recognized: msg#00142mobile.bitpim.user
Bitpim was working fine in .7.33. I entered data to the program and u/l to the phone. Started BitPim today. He detected a new version so I d/l .7.34 and installed. When started, with the phone hooked up, I get the msgbox 'no phone detected/recognized' using the same phone which worked ok last time. I rebooted. No joy. I uninstalled .7.34 and reinstalled .7.33. Same result. If I unplug the phone from the USB port, I get the Windows noise and upon re-plugging in I get the msgbox 'no phone detected/recognized'. IMO, the program / USB is seeing something but the program isn't recognizing the phone today as a legit phone where it did yesterday. I tried auto for serial port detect and COM5 (diagnostic). All the same. I've rebooted with the phone plugged in and with the phone unplugged. No change. Nothing I can seem to do will affect this error or gen up a different one. Hardware / System / Device Manager shows all USB devices working properly. I don't see how it can be in the USB driver area as the phone is detected by Windows and BitPim sees something, but won't recognize it as a phone (apparently). Phone model is a LG 6100. To repeat, this install worked fine a few days before. Thanks for any suggestions. -Paul Cassel ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is Sponsored by the Better Software Conference & EXPO September 19-22, 2005 * San Francisco, CA * Development Lifecycle Practices Agile & Plan-Driven Development * Managing Projects & Teams * Testing & QA Security * Process Improvement & Measurement * http://www.sqe.com/bsce5sf _______________________________________________ BitPim-user mailing list BitPim-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Unsubscribe or change options at https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/bitpim-user There are several hundred people on this list.
