The LG phones since the VX7000 do not always correctly return the number of phonebook entries (they claim numbers like 65,000). When BitPim detects this, it tries an alternate method to work out the entries. While using the alternate method, a nonsense entry is being returned which contains invalid characters. Those then cause an exception.

The only way I can fix this is by working out a 3rd method of getting the entries. But I can't do that without access to a phone exhibiting this problem.
