RE: LG vx3200 and volume adjustment (dB): msg#00136mobile.bitpim.user
Unfortunately the vx3200 can't control the volume on mp3 ringtones. Not sure exactly why though. So what you'll need to do is to get your hands on a mp3 editor, one that will let you adjust the volume of the mp3 prior to saving it. Then you'll just have to play it by ear as to how loud you can make your mp3s. That's prolly why I've just stuck with midi ringtones, less hassle and most of the mp3 ringtones I've heard sound awful and all distorted. -----Original Message----- From: bitpim-user-admin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bitpim-user-admin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Elizabeth Glarner Sent: Tuesday, July 26, 2005 11:44 PM To: bitpim-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [BitPim-user] LG vx3200 and volume adjustment (dB) I installed Bitpim with no problem. Am able to install both Midi and MP3 songs. However, the MP3's are quite loud once installed in my phone - (I don't think my phone speaker can handle the MP3's), and I can't adjust the volume (in phone or through the program). I am using Bitpim on both my Mac 10.3 and Windows XP machines and the volume adjustment field is inaccessable. I am using the cable that was suggested from Radio Shack. --- http://USFamily.Net/dialup.html - $8.25/mo! -- http://www.usfamily.net/dsl.html - $19.99/mo! --- ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Discover Easy Linux Migration Strategies from IBM.
