Not responding while transitioning mode from none to brew: msg#00065

Subject:	Not responding while transitioning mode from none to brew

This error is preventing my LG VX6100 from being seen on my Mac port of BitPim. On a Windows machine, I can access my phone with no problem through BitPim. Is there a solution to this error message? Thanks!
