Thomas,
Calendar updates to the phone are not yet supported in BitPim for the LG
VX6100.
The documentation states that this functionality isn't yet working. I guess
I'll go ahead and disable it in the code too.

Thomas,
I went thru the very same thing you just described.
I was told that bitpim is not able to write calendar back to the 6100
Seems strange to me to have that option available, but not work...
maybe someday someone will come along with the knowledge of how to do this
and donate their time and code to the effort
I ended up purchasing a program that transfers my calendar from outlook to
my 6100.
Hope that helps
-Dennis

Re: Speedial Import/Export
Got it, thanks. Then, is this the world's oddest line continuation
convention?
Too bad the whole VCard shtick was in place before XML got
popular. Wouldn't life be simpler... (I know there have been VCard/XML/RDF
proposals around for years, but my quick research indicates they haven't
taken hold, and are not likely to.)

Nope, just for a field that is split into multiple lines of fields. Have
a look at this to see several examples:

As a long-time coder, I totally understand. Whenever you get a chance, it
would be nice. I won't hold my breath. Thanks for all your efforts thus

That is pretty much true for all the LG phones. There is no conspiracy or
anything else happening. It just requires someone (mainly me) to sit down
and spend the time updating the LG calendar code which has suffered from
bitrot.

RE: Calendar - Can't transfer to vx6100
Sorry (Egg on Face)! BP's nice xface makes it easy to forget. It's strange
it works 50% (transfers FROM phone but not TO phone). Would be GREAT to
have both ways since it's SO NICE to make ad hoc event entries during day.
Easier than using PDA. If you disable anything, only disable the Calendar
check box on the SEND menu. It's still useful to GET the Calendar data from
the phone and view it on BP's Calendar. Thanks.
