Re: @SPAM++++ Re:Unexpected Exception -- IntegrityCheckFailed: msg#00201mobile.bitpim.user
Ross -- Thanks again for your note. However, as I said to Ross, I don't have any of the phonebook data in BitPIM (it's blank), and with the exception problem, BitPIM won't "Get" any of it. So renaming BitPIM's database file won't help, because it's empty. Some other posts to the forum indicated that the Log file should show just which entries are corrupt, but in this instance, both the Log and Protocol Logs come up blank, even after the program produces the "unexpected exception" error. The only obvious solution I can see at this point is either manually typing all of the phonebook data into BitPIM, then deleting all the entries from the phone's phonebook, and finally sending the data I just typed into BitPIM to the phone. Unfortunately, that's a process that could take several hours, so you can see why some sort of workaround or an improved error-correction utility in BitPIM would be helpful. There are likely to be others out there that encounter similar problems. Looking into the phone's filesystem via BitPIM, incidentally, indicates the phonebook entries are actually spread across several *.DAT files, with the names in one, the numbers in another, etc., and with no obvious links between the separate files (to show which names go with which phone numbers, etc.), so "block-copying" the data from these files (which BitPIM can view only as Hex dumps) is somewhere in the range between extremely awkward and impossible. If you have any other ideas, would sure appreciate the help! --- Dan ----- Original Message ----- From: "J R Overcash" <jroverca@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <bitpim-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, March 24, 2005 1:54 PM Subject: RE: @SPAM++++ Re:[BitPim-user] Unexpected Exception -- IntegrityCheckFailed Sounds like it is worth a try.
