RE: @CHECK++ Long Distance: msg#00165mobile.bitpim.user
I also wonder about that original question. With Verizon, at least, ALL US and Canada calls are made with 10 digit dialing. This includes local calls, inter-LATA and intra-LATA calls, calls to my own house, and calls across the US and calls to Canada. I think the original querier may have confused the rules they use on their POTS land line with the typically single format rule of their cell phone service. -----Original Message----- From: bitpim-user-admin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bitpim-user-admin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of J R Overcash Sent: Monday, March 21, 2005 5:13 PM To: bitpim-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: @CHECK++ [BitPim-user] Long Distance Can't help with the why but are you sure you need the 1 to dial from your cell phone? I know I don't Ross -----Original Message----- From: bitpim-user-admin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bitpim-user-admin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of ve3kh@xxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, March 21, 2005 4:39 PM To: bitpim-user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: @CHECK++ [BitPim-user] Long Distance Hopefully this question isn't too dumb. I import a list of category of outlook contacts using bitpim. The phone numbers are all there including leading "1" to dial long distance. I choose OK and then an import phonebook data screen appears. Now all the leading "1"'s are stripped from each phone number. So, how to keep the "1"??? ANy help appreciated ...
